Date(s) - Tue, 28 May 2019 - Sat, 01 Jun 2019
The Bar Golf week will take place at Royal Porthcawl from 28 May to 1 June 2019.
This will be the first time the Tournament has visited Wales, and obviously Royal Porthcawl is an absolutely first-class course. We have been fortunate to agree a daily rate of £90 per day (a significant reduction from the going visitor rate).
For first-time attendees the Society will pay for one day’s golf and the dinner. For juniors called in 2010 or later the daily rate will be only £25.
There are a number of different golfing events during the week.
There is a singles knock-out (full handicaps) starting on Wednesday 29th May, with the finals on Saturday 1st June.
There are a number of foursomes stableford events during the week, including the Captain’s Prize on Thursday afternoon, and two stableford events which require the submission of cards prior to Friday evening. These can be entered into whether one has entered the Tournament or not.
So there is plenty of scope for flexible golf.
There is a drinks party at the clubhouse on Wednesday night, and the dinner on Thursday night.
The atmosphere is one of very friendly competition, across a wide range of handicaps.
